Gov Talks To Board Members

Gov. Ed Rendell on Tuesday made a direct plea to school board members across the state to adopt a new plan for property-tax relief, but his pitch had little effect on school officials in Berks County.

“I don't think he said anything we haven't heard already,” said Robert M. Dempsey, president of the Schuylkill Valley School Board. MORE
